The rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears has a different quarterback, but the result is the same.
Jordan Love scored three touchdowns, Aaron Jones had 127 all-purpose yards and two scores, and the Packers defeated the Bears 38-20at Soldier Field.
Aaron Rodgers, Love's predecessor as Green Bay's starting quarterback, is 24-5 against the Bears in his Packers career, and now Love is off to a good start. Late in the third quarter, Chicago's Justin Fields threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Darnell Mooney, and the Bears succeeded on a two-point try to extend their lead to 10 points.
Love succeeded on the next drive, going 18 and 37 yards, and then set up Romeo Dobbs for a 4-yard touchdown that effectively ended the game. On the next possession, Green Bay's Quay Walker returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown.
Jones had 41 yards rushing and 86 yards receiving before leaving the game with a hamstring injury in the second half. Love scored an 8-yard touchdown with Dobbs in the first quarter and a 35-yard touchdown with Jones in the third quarter.
Fields and the Bears, who acquired wide receiver D.J. Moore as part of a controversial offseason, struggled to get over the hump against their biggest rival and perennial NFC North bellwether. Fields was 24-of-37 with a touchdown and an interception and led the Bears in rushing with 59 yards on nine carries. Moore had two catches for 25 yards on just two targets in his Chicago debut.
